I started up the mountain trail as the cool october weather began blowing over me and the two other companions of my party.  The two that followed me were the Milotic and Serperior who have known me since I was roughly ten, Mara and Rosalie.  Mara was the amiable Milotic with sapphire blue eyes who had a way with people when it came to understanding what they needed to make a bad day an okay one, and a good day a great day.  Rosalie was the tough, yet sweet Serperior that wore a gracedia flower on her right head extension.
The three of us continued up the path toward a meeting place where we were going to pay a long time friend of ours a visit.  If you know who he is, then I believe you already know the reason why we're going to visit him, but enough of that.  I'm getting distracted.
"Does he know we're coming?"  Mara asked as she slid along the trail, looking down at me.
"As far as he knows, no."  I responded.
"Lets hope that nothing too exciting has happened before we get there."  Rosalie said as she weaved her way through the branches of some overhanging trees.
"What do you mean by that?"  Mara asked.
"A serpent has to eat as well."  Rosalie said, giving Mara a sly smile.
"I can't argue with that."  Mara said, returning a smile of her own and suppressing a giggle.
After about half an hour of walking and taking a couple wrong turns, my friends and I arrived at the entrance to a cave that was large enough to house something like a dragon.  We entered without so much as giving a shred of worry or caution to whatever might be living inside the cave.  As the light of the outside world faded away, the glow of various collections of crystals began to fill the cave with a light that was suitable for finding my way through it.
After less than a minute of walking, I came upon a man who was roughly my age.  Beside him were two kittens.  One was white with a grey underbelly, while the other was a slightly darker shade and had mint green eyes.  The man looked up to see me coming and called out.
"Hey, if it isn't Ted and company.  I didn't think you would be coming by today." he called out.
"Thats the point of a surprise visit Thomas.  You aren't supposed to know that I'm coming."  I said, closing the distance between us and taking a seat in front of him.
"Its great to have you here."  said the mint eyed kitten as he left Thomas's side to sit in my lap.  He turned around a couple time before settling down in my lap, and letting his paws begin kneading my lap.  "Its great to be here Mint."  I responded, letting my fingers scratch between his ears, coaxing a gentle purr from Mint.
Mara and Rosalie each went to Thomas in turn and gave him a large serpent hug as their way of greeting him.  Conversation of the friendly sort soon engulfed the party that had now amassed.  Subjects that normally occupied them such as 'how life was', 'what work was like', and 'finding new ways to give grief to the humans' were being discussed, the latter was a matter that Ted and Thomas were eager to move on from.
After a while, Vanilla shifted himself in Thomas's lap to begin gently kneading Thomas's chest with a purr.  He looked up into Thomas's face with his iconic 'cute look' that was nothing short of a display of how much he cared for him.  Thomas began scratching between Vanilla's ears, prompting Vanilla to close his eyes out of enjoyment from this feeling.  While this was happening, Mara and Rosalie slipped away to discuss something that 'wasn't for [us] to know'.
I decided not to press the matter any further, but shifted myself over to Thomas's side with Mint still in my lap.
"What are they getting on about?"  Thomas asked.
"Who knows?  Experience has taught me to never try and find out."  I responded, shrugging my shoulders a bit.  "Yes, there is a story that goes with that."
"Haha, I can only imagine with those two.  Still, I can't help but wonder what they're up to."  Thomas said, looking over at the two serpents who were busily nodding and chatting.
"I think we'll find out soon enough."  I said, watching the two giggle a bit before bringing their council to a close and returning to join the group.
"So you've crafted your plot, have you?"  Mint said, casting a glance over at Mara and Rosalie as they came back.
"Oh, not us."  said Rosalie, giving a bit of a shrug.  Despite the authenticity of her denial, it was all I need to know that something was afoot.  The two serpents proceeded to let their head's rest upon my shoulders as well as the shoulders of Thomas.  I couldn't exactly object to this, as I really did enjoy their company, though I should know that this was their way of getting close enough to pull of whatever plot they had and not even give me the chance to object or react until it was too late.  Rosalie soon had her head settled comfortably on my shoulder, while Mara had situated herself with Thomas in a similar fashion.  After a couple seconds, both of them lifted their heads up.
"Hey Ted, what is that up there?"  Rosalie asked.
I looked up to see what Rosalie was asking, but I was met with Rosalie's gaping maw, which immediately closed itself over my head.  Mint saw this and quickly leapt from my lap, minding not to use his claws to give himself any grip.  I began a series of muffled exclamations of protest, shock and surprise, but they were all met with a swallow, or a gulp.  Mara meanwhile had done the same with Thomas, and he was faring no better at escaping his situation.  Mara embarked on the careful process of gently feeding her catch inside with the use of her hair-fins.  Slowly but surely, Thomas began disappearing inside the maw of the amiable Milotic, who was taking her time to give him a thorough wash down with each square inch that entered.  After about a minute, all that could be seen of Thomas was the human sized bulge that had worked its way to Mara's belly.
"Mmmm, that was lovely."  Mara said, running her tail along the bulge on her belly.
"Was this what you were planning?"  I asked, having been confined in a similar manner to Rosalie's stomach.
"Nah, we were debating whether to have the kittens in as well."  Rosalie said, also running her tail over her human sized bulge.  "We decided not to since we wanted our own snuggle time with the kittens."
"I don't have any problem with that."  Said Vanilla as he walked back over to Mara.  He sat down and began kneading the bulge that contained Thomas.
Mara smiled from the kneading and coiled herself around the white kitten and licking both the kitten and the bulge.  "Oh by the way Thomas..."  Mara started.
"Hmm?"  Thomas said, curious about what Mara had to say.
    "Happy Birthday."  She said.
Several minutes passed, and the humans were both snuggled up and napping where they lap.  The kittens had fallen asleep from kneading the sides of the serpents, and were being held as they slept by the respective serpents.  Ask anyone who was there if they didn't enjoy themselves.
A little gift I put up for a great friend of mine :icondragonx1010:.  He is now another year older and on his way through life.  I hope he likes this story and what was in it.
